Who's Making Decisions

I'm asked "How's the new process working" my reply is great!!  Three months later which is now I'm like what the heck has happen??? The process was going fine but something has change.  I'm trying to figure out what could have possible happen I fixing things that were never a problem.  By now I'm frustrated!!  My manager alerts my co-workers and I with news and he always asked "is everything going ok"  I'm like ok its time to present him with this frustrating issue.  I'm explaining to him about the issues that we all have encountered his response was "that's what happens when people make decision that are not doing the work" immediately I said "YES" he giggled and said "you don't have to agree"  He was ultimately right; a decision was made neither my co-workers nor I was at the "round' table and the decision created multiple problems. Being an outsider and looking inside may looks simple but pitching in will broaden one's insight.  I have always said that I never want to manage anyone and I didn't know how to do the job myself.  As I pursue a career in Public Administration my goal is to become a successful leader that will always have an open door policy, take time to listen, and learn.

The Good Outweighing The Bad

Day after Day its like I rather not turn on television to watch the news because nine times out of ten its going to be a something relating to Affordable Care Act oh yeah forgot to mention of course something negative:-).  I'm at a point of realization that people are going to be people they will criticize you when you're doing good and definitely laugh at you when you're doing bad and say I told you so!!!  Americans Already Love ObamaCare!!

 

Here are five reasons why:

1. Allows young Americans to stay on their parents' insurance plans until 26 regardless of their school status or marital status.
2. Bans insurance companies from denying coverage for pre-existing conditions
3.  Offers tax credits to small businesses to buy insurance.
4. Requires companies with more than 50 employees to provide health insurance
5. Provides subsidies to help individual afford coverage.

At What Point Did The Nation Lose Respect!!!

I'm in a nail salon treating myself.  The television is on CNN of course the topic is about Obamacare there are all sorts of opinions about the President admitting "we fumble" relating to some Americans insurance canceling.  The commentators were going at it back and forth it was ridiculous!!! But what caught my attention was a subtitle on CNN "President Obama A Lame Duck" that blew my mind.  I like what is the world coming to.  In my opinion that was soooo disrespectful!!! I really hate the challenges that our President has face as a whole.  But I'm glad that he got on National Television and apologize and emphasize that thing will get better!!! I commend him for that!!!! In my place of employment in our break room its a sign that reads "If There is No Struggle, There is No Progress" author Frederick Douglass.  When the sign was placed in the break room I was like why they put this up here...I really felt some type of way:-) But like they say at that moment you may not understand why things happen but you will truly understand by and by.  Affordable Care Act...."Making Healthcare Accessible and Affordable to Americans" Things will all work out for the BEST!!!

Layoffs (coming up to the holidays)

For the last past months many healthcare agencies have cut cost by laying off employees.  Which is sooo sad to me everyone needs a job especially coming up to the holidays.....but as a child I was always taught that God is my source:-)  When the hospital in The Good Life City cut 127 jobs I was like dang that a lot of people without jobs. I spoke with one lady to see how was she doing after being employed with this company for 28 years and was laid off she responded " I never let anything get me down I look at it from a positive prospective and learn from it" that let me knew that she was in good spirits  despite her circumstances. I received a breaking news alert about 500 people gets laid off I was really in Shock that's a lot of people compared to 127.  This happen in New York......

Health Insurance Exchanges...very informative information

I'm a little familiar with the Health Insurance Exchanges.  "Making Insurance Available and Affordable to Americans"  I have tried visiting healthcare.gov but as seen on the news the site is having a couple of technical difficulties:-) Due to the technical difficulties they have extended the deadline to March 31,2014 with is an extra six weeks for Americans to buy health coverage before facing penalty.  I'm still learning this new Health Care Law as it unfolds.  I believe that once the kinks are taken care of many will see that its very beneficial. 

I read an article about a self employed American had enrolled in the individual plan and he was sent an letter saying that he must purchase pediatric dental insurance and if not they will automatically enroll him in a plan.  He was like "I don't have children so why do I have to buy pediatric dental insurance." Now that was a shock to me also and I'm pretty sure that's a shock to you:-)
